THE REBAKE
STORY

HOW IT ALL STARTED

Our story begins with a decade-long love and passion for baking. It started during my university days as a home baker, followed by formal training as a pastry chef at Le Cordon Bleu London, and gaining industry experience in a hotel, bakeries and a Michelin-starred restaurant. Along the way, I’ve amassed quite a collection of bakeware! My siblings often joke that I’ve filled every inch of kitchen storage in our family home.

In recent years, I’ve become more mindful of my shopping habits and the negative impact they can have on the environment due to wastefulness. In an effort to embrace more sustainable and conscious buying practices, I started purchasing second-hand goods. However, I soon realized there were no platforms dedicated to the resale of pre-owned bakeware, despite baking being a much-loved pastime for many in the UK.

For me, the joy of baking has always been about sharing the delicious results with those around me, which inspired me to consider extending that same spirit of sharing to the tools and bakeware used in the process. This circular approach not only fosters a sense of community but also saves money, reduces underutilised items, generates income, cuts down on waste and ultimately spreads more baking joy!

And just like that, the idea for Rebake was born—a community where like-minded individuals can come together to share our love for baking, recipes, ideas, and most importantly, bakeware.

By making small changes in our lifestyles, we can collectively have a positive impact on the world we live in. And if that means enjoying more delicious bakes while connecting with incredible people along the way, it’s a true win-win!

I invite you to join me on this journey as we Rebake the world into a better place.

Thank You!
